Description
One of a kind lumbar pillow. Using Derwent permanent watercolor pencils, drawing and watercolor techniques created this design. Machine sewed embroidery, mimicking leaves, vines, and to emboss the ribbon enhances the design. To achieve sustainability, the pillow uses recycled shirts as stuffing, forgoing synthetic materials. A separate inside pillow makes it easy to separate and machine wash. The outer pillow back uses a repurposed Indian silk Sari so this fabric must be dry cleaned. The inner pillow is washable with other clothes.
